Srinath Iswaran (b. 1989) uses techniques and technologies of photography to explore the abstract relationship between image and environment, and among systems, formulas, and the human hand. His research and process-based practice explores an ever-changing negotiation between analogue and digital approaches, creating works to understand a medium and its shifting limits.
Iswaran studied photography at the Camberwell College of Arts, University of London, though his explorations of historical and evolving photographic techniques are self-led. He has held solo exhibitions at Public House Projects in London and PHOTOINK in New Delhi, alongside multiple group exhibitions and art fairs. He lives and works in Chennai, India.
